Active principles:

For the treatment and prevention of flea and/or tick infestations where repellent activity (anti-feeding) is necessary against phlebotomes, horse flies and/or mosquitoes. For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations Ctenocephalides felis and the prevention of flea infestations Ctenocephalides canis. The product eliminates fleas C. felis present on the animal within 24 hours. One treatment prevents subsequent flea infestations for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of a strategic treatment for flea allergy dermatitis where it has been previously diagnosed by a veterinarian. The product has a repellent efficacy against ticks (Dermacentorreticulatus) from 7 days and up to 4 weeks after treatment. However, individual ticks can stick to the dog and peel off in the first 24 hours after the infestation. The product has an immediate acaricidal efficacy against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus but it is possible that not all ticks will be eliminated within 48 hours of treatment if these are already present at the time of application of the product. The product has an acaricidal efficacy against ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) persistent for 4 weeks. The product has a repellent efficacy (anti-feeding) for 3 weeks against phlebotomas (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and for 4 weeks against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens). The product has a persistent insecticidal efficacy for 3 weeks against phlebotomas (Phlebotomus perniciosus). The product repels and eliminates horse flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.
Contraindications/Side effects:

Do not use in sick or convalescent animals. Do not use in cats or rabbits, as potentially fatal adverse reactions may occur. Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to one of the excipients.

For topical skin application. Animals should always be treated with the pipette of the correct size corresponding to their body weight. For dogs weighing more than 60 kg, use the correct combination of two sizes of pipettes, which corresponds as much as possible to the dog’s body weight. Treatment programme: the use of the product should be based for the treatment of a confirmed infestation or on a risk of flea and/or tick infestation, where anti-feeding activity against phlebotomas and/or mosquitoes and/or horse flies is also necessary. Repetition of treatment may be indicated depending on exposure to ectoparasites. In these cases, the interval between two consecutive treatments should be at least 4 weeks.

Store in the original blister. Do not store above 25 degrees C.

It is possible that individual ticks attack or that individual phlebotomes or mosquitoes sting the dog. For this reason, if particularly unfavorable conditions occur, it is not possible to completely exclude the transmission of pathogens through these arthropods. The product maintains effectiveness against fleas when treated animals are subjected to occasional immersion in water (for example, swimming, bathing). However, it is advisable not to wash or allow dogs to swim within 48 hours of treatment. Avoid subjecting treated dogs to frequent baths or washes, as these can adversely affect the maintenance of the effectiveness of the product. To reduce reinfestations due to the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all cohabiting dogs. Other animals living in the same house must also be treated with a suitable product. To further contribute to reducing environmental infestation, it is also recommended to use a targeted environmental treatment against adult fleas and their larval stages. In the absence of specific studies, the use of the product is not recommended in dogs under the age of 8 weeks, or in dogs weighing less than 2 kg. Care should be taken to avoid contact of the product with the dog’s eyes. It is important to ensure that the product is applied in an area where the animal cannot lick itself and to ensure that other animals do not lick the treated area after application. In cats, the product can cause potentially fatal seizures due to the presence of permethrin. In case of accidental skin exposure, wash the cat with shampoo or soap and quickly resort to the care of a veterinarian. To prevent cats from being accidentally exposed to the product, separate the treated dogs from the cats until the application site is dry. It is important to ensure that cats do not lick the application site of a dog that has been treated with this product. In the event of such an exposure, immediately seek the care of a veterinarian. The product can have negative effects on aquatic organisms. Do not allow treated dogs to enter the waterways within 2 days of treatment. Special precautions for those who administer the product to animals: this product may cause irritation to the skin and eyes. Therefore, avoid that the product comes into contact with the skin and eyes. Do not open the pipette by orienting it towards the face or near it. In case of eye exposure or if the eyes become irritated during administration, wash them immediately with plenty of water. If eye irritation persists, consult a doctor. In case of skin exposure or if the skin becomes irritated during the administration of the product, wash the skin thoroughly immediately with soap and water. If skin irritation persists or recurs, consult a doctor. People with known hypersensitivity to fipronil and/or permethrin should avoid contact with the product. The product is harmful if ingested. Avoid hand-mouth contact. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application. Wash your hands after use. In case of ingestion, if you feel unwell, rinse your mouth and consult a doctor. Since in case of significant exposure, the excipient N-methylpyrrolidone can induce fetotoxicity and teratogenicity, pregnant women should wear gloves to avoid contact with the product. Treated animals should not be touched until the application site is dry and children should not be allowed to play with treated animals until the application site is dry. It is therefore recommended not to treat animals during the day but to treat them in the early hours of the evening and not to allow newly treated animals to sleep with the owners, especially with children. Store the pipettes in the original blister and, after use, empty pipettes should be disposed of immediately correctly, to prevent further access. Overdose: Harmlessness has been demonstrated with doses up to 5 times the maximum exposure dose in healthy adult dogs and puppies. Transient side effects such as mild neurological disorders, emesis and diarrhea may occur but resolve without treatment within 1-2 days.
